We’ve organized the FAQs into categories for your convenience, covering everything from how our subscriptions work to the specific services we provide. Why is Handyzee a subscription? Can I just get a one-time visit?Handyzee is designed as a subscription service to provide consistent, proactive home maintenance that a one-time visit simply can't match. Our goal is to keep your home in top condition year-round, preventing issues before they arise and making your life easier. For customers who initially want a one-time visit, we are happy to accommodate. It's our ultimate goal to give our South Bay customers an exceptional experience, so if you're not ready to sign up for a subscription, feel free to try us out like you would a traditional handyman company.

What is your cancellation policy?You may cancel at any time with no penalty. If you are not fully satisfied with your subscription visit, please contact us and we will work with you to make it right.

Do you have a referral program?Yes! We have a 20% off credit for any referral that signs up for a membership. The 20% off will apply to you and your friend on your next billing cycle after your referral's first subscription service is complete. Please inquire on how you can refer your neighbors.

Can I change my Handyzee subscription plan?Yes! In fact, we encourage it. For households that have built a significant "to-do" list can start us on the biweekly subscription to help clear the list. Once we reach a steady state, you are encouraged to move to a monthly plan. In the spirit of making this truly "Autopiloted", we don't want you to have to do any "Self-driving" on tasks for us to complete just because you have a subscription. You are also free to pause your subscription at any time if you feel the frequency of visits is not working for you. Please inquire with our team if you have different needs than our current subscription packages provide.

How much does a Handyzee subscription cost?Pricing is based on the Autopilot Upkeep plan selected and the services included. After our initial visit, you will receive a subscription estimate with a range of options based on the information you provided. Because each home and preferences are different, we prefer to customize pricing instead of creating one-size-fits-all pricing. For a rough estimate, customers typically spend $250-750/month, depending on a variety of factors.

Is there a minimum commitment for Handyzee subscriptions?No. If you subscribe to either the biweekly or monthly subscription, you may pause or cancel at any time. Since our visits are priced on a per-project basis, you do not have to worry about recurring visits to fill your allotment of visits in a month or year. If you continue as a subscriber you will start to see the benefits of a subscription service.

Do I need to be home when Handyzee arrives?No. We are happy to accommodate your lifestyle needs. If you prefer we arrive when you are not home, you can communicate to us the means to enter.

Does Handyzee offer emergency handyman services?Our primary focus is proactive maintenance, but we do our best to offer emergency repair services for subscribers. If an urgent home repair is needed, simply contact us, and we’ll either dispatch a handyperson as soon as possible, or advise you on who to contact for your repair.

What doesn't Handyzee do?Handyzee covers your typical handyman tasks like minor plumbing, minor electric work, and minor carpentry tasks. We also do routine home maintenance tasks like HVAC filter changes, gutter cleaning, appliance servicing, and more. We also provide quotes for repairs for any issues identified during our visits so you can be prepared to have us fix it on our next visit. We do not do pool service, landscaping, or pest control at this time. We also do not do work that requires a licensed contractor (e.g., bathroom remodel, kitchen renovation, etc.). However, for any extensive repairs, remodels, or renovations (i.e., those that require a licensed contractor), we are happy to coordinate them for you.

Are Handyzee’s handymen licensed and insured?Handyzee has a license to perform business in your city and we are fully insured to protect you and ourselves. Handyzee does not have a general contractor license at this time, but we are happy to refer you to a licensed contractor for services that require them.

Who are your handypeople? Are they background checked?Our entire team is background checked and come with years of experience with home maintenance, construction, and/or remodeling experience. We are committed to providing you with the right talent for the tasks you require.
